Suppurative thrombophlebitis
S. aureus
MSSA Cloxacillin 100-200mg/kg/day IV q6h Diagnosis require positive blood culture plus
radiographic demonstration of thrombus.
MRSA Vancomycin 10-15 mg/kg/day IV q6h Removed catheter and minimum of 3-4
weeks of antibiotics.
Surgical resection of involved vein if failed
conservative therapy
